Over 25 Years of Competency and Compassion at the Hampshire Probate Court

About Mark Ames

Mark has spent the past twenty-six years serving the families of Hampshire Country through his work at the Hampshire Probate and Family Court. He was appointed temporary register in January of 2024 with the retirement of Michael Carey.

Throughout his tenure at the Hampshire Probate Court, Mark has approached the work with competency and compassion. Establishing the Lawyer for the Day Program, managing the court’s dispute resolution programs and preserving the court’s oldest records are a few of Mark’s accomplishments.

A third-generation native of Northampton, Mark and his wife Catherine have two children in Northampton High School.
