For over 29 years, Mark has been serving the people of Hampshire County at the Probate & Family Court with compassion and competency.

On January 16, 2024, he was sworn in as Temporary Register of Probate after the retirement of Michael J. Carey, former Hampshire County Register of Probate.

After confirmation by the Governor’s Council, Mark was sworn in as Register of Probate by Governor Maura Healey on April 22, 2024.

Mark was elected by the people of Hampshire County in November of 2024. He will be on the ballot again in the Fall of 2026.

The Probate & Family Court handles matters including adoption, divorce, paternity, custody, visitation, as well as estates, guardianships, and name changes. The Register is the keeper of record and serves as the administrative head of office.‍ ‍
